These experiences solidified her belief that every person possesses the capacity for growth and transformation. With her MFT training, Amanda holds a deep understanding of the interconnectedness of relationships and the impact they have on personal growth. Through a focus on cultural and family narratives, Amanda collaborates with clients to explore and re-write their own stories, emphasizing their agency, resilience, and strengths. This collaborative and compassionate therapeutic process helps individuals, couples, and families develop a more nuanced understanding of their experiences. By highlighting the unique skills and knowledge they possess, clients gain the confidence to navigate life's challenges, create meaningful connections, and find renewed hope and purpose in their relationships. Amanda is dedicated to providing culturally sensitive therapy from a social justice framework that honors each client's individuality and lived experiences. Through co-authoring new narratives that center her clients' values, strengths, and aspirations, she helps individuals and families uncover hidden potentials and create lasting change. Amanda tailors her therapeutic interventions to the unique needs of each client and integrates evidence-based approaches such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT). She is an active member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and that organization’s Georgia chapter (GAMFT). She also engages proactively in professional development and advanced learning opportunities. Amanda is deeply committed to supporting clients in their journey toward self-discovery and personal empowerment. |
